Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET) was established in 1994 as a not-for-profit Trust. It is a Research & Development venture in the field of education, the first of its kind that is seeking to provide an alternative education system geared to the flowing of human intellect.

Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust Higher Secondary School (SNPETHSS) is a registered entity with the Education Directorate Government of Punjab. SNPETGHS provides completely free education to girls belonging to the low-income segment.

All of the administrative, overhead and fundraising costs of the Trust are paid for by income from an endowment made by the main sponsor and founder Mr. Raza Kazim in 1994. Contributions go entirely to support actual expenses. The accounts of SNPET are audited by Messrs. Mujahid Eshai & Company and are available for review upon request.

Until June 2007 the school remained a tuition free school. However the Board recommended a modest contribution by parents on a regular basis to the Trust so that they would value their children’s access to quality education, regular attendance and persistence. In some cases where parents cannot afford the contribution, this will be made up by scholarships and subsidies. The children are provided free textbooks, reference materials and stationery. For Grades XI and XII a modest fee is charged from students who seek admission as lateral entrants.
