	June 4th, 2010: School Annual Result for 2009-2010 was declared. A teacher parent meeting was also held at the same day. It was headed by the school principal Ms. Faiza Shahrukh and primary school coordinator Ms. Naseem Rasheed. The agenda of the meeting was students' studies, results and uniform disorders.
	May 3,2010: Annual School Admissions have started for nursery classes in the morning and evening shifts. Total sixty students (boys and girls in the evening shift) will be selected for both shifts. 	February 1st, 2010: A grand meetings of school parents and Managing Trustee Dr. Baela Raza was held at the school. Important Trust and parents concerns related to school running problems were discussed. Please click here to read details.
	December 18th, 2009: An important Parent-School meeting was held in the school to address important school issues and policies with parents of senior and higher secondary students. The meeting was presided by the school principal and junior and senior coordinators. The principal talked about the facilities and quality education being given to their children. She shared with them the financial pressures that the Trust is bearing now a days and asked parents to contribute towards the Trust fund as much as they can afford. 	December 4th, 2009: A farewell party was given to the former Admin Officer of Sanjan Nagar School Mr. Joseph Nadeem. He resigned from the school in September. Mr. Joseph served the school for around ten years. The school principal presented him flowers and gift as a token of appreciation on behalf of the school and admired the services he rendered to the school. Click here to see more pictures.

	July, 2009: Bravo! This year too our students made remarkable results in the AKU annual examination by scoring A+ Grade. In SSC and HSCC many of our students topped in the whole region in different computer, arts and other humanitarian subjects. Please visit AKU Examination board website for more details.
	April, 20, 2009: It is a matter of great pleasure and gratitude that Sadia Sarwar (Ex-student of SNPETHSS) has been selected to receive a Talent Scholarship of Forman Christian College worth of Rs. 54,500/- sponsored by USAID. Click here to read more details.
	March 14, 2009: Meeting of Education Committee was conducted at SNPETHSS to discuss the academic issues of weak and challenging students. Promotions of some junior school students were pending since the last final exams. Their promotions are to be made on the condition of their improvement in the second term exams this year.
	24-Jan-2009: Education Committee Meeting with Parents held at the school. The meeting was presided by Madam Baela Jamil, one of the trustees fo the Sanjan Nagar Education Trust. Through such meetings, the trustees keep up an established report with parents.
	15th September 2008: This year new I.Com group was introduced for Grade XI. The objective of new group is to provide expanded learning opportunities to the students in different areas of education.
	August 8, 2008: SNPET takes pleasure in sharing that the UWI Citigroup Foundation Grant of $58, 500 has been renewed for the Year 2008-09. The disbursement took place in August, 08. This amount will be utilized to sustain education excellence and entitlements of the underprivileged through professional development.
	• Our one FSc successor of SNPETHSS got admission in F.C. College for Baccalaureate Programme of 4 years. • Our two successors of SNPETHSS got admission in University of Education for BS.c (Hons.)
	June 30, 2008: New admissions were got in Grade nursery. For each morning and evening sessions 30 students were admitted after interviews and home-surveys. New classes will commence on 25th August, 2008.
	April 21, 2008: Annual Admission process for 2008-2009 academic session has started. A large number of parents from near vicinity appeared for getting admissions for their young ones and submitting application forms. After sorting out of application, the selected applicants would have their surveys. The final enrollment list is expected in early June. 	March 5, 2008: Mr. Muhammad Ali, father of Class ten student Saba Ali donated two electronic compound microscopes to the schools science laboratory. The donation also includes some test tubes as well as transparent slides. The school administration is thankful to him for this generous donation.
	January 8, 2008: We are proud to announce that our students secured 98.53% in QAT held in October November 2007. Our school got 2nd position in the District Lahore. Moreover Mr. Suhail Nawaz Bhalli MEA of PEF visited school for annual inspection and was very happy to see the standard and studies of the school.
	January 17, 2007: The school bought a new generator. It was needed to cope up with the power shortage we have these days.
	November 21, 2007: It gives us great pleasure to share with you all that our Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust School has been awarded a prestigious grant of $53,000 from United Way International. This grant was made possible by the generosity of UWI donor in Pakistan, Citigroup Foundation. Mr. Zubyr Somroo, CCO and MD Citi Bank Pakistan and Mr. Mueen Afzal, Chairman Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust Girls High School, signed the grant certificate at a ceremony on November 21st. The Patron of the school Sir Raza Kazim, Managing Trustee, Mrs. Baela Raza Jamil, Trustees, Mrs. Tasneem Maqbool, Mrs. Nasreen Kasuri and Ms. Nadia Jamil with many other influential personalities from different walks of life were present at the ceremony.
	September 17, 2007: Sanjan Nagar Higher Secondary School for girls has officially started for which efforts were under way for the last four months. The first batch of grade 11th is of 18 students both FA and FSc program. Mrs. Beena Raza welcomed the students on behalf of the Sanjan Nagar Education Trust and briefed them about the objectives of the college. Just like SNPET Girls High School, 11th grade is also affiliated with Agha Khan Examination Board for Intermediate Examination certificates.
	August 24, 2007: As per the requirement of Aga Khan University Education Board Sanjan Nagar Trust School has upgraded the computer lab. We have added 10 computers and now we have 15 computers in the lab, students and teachers are constantly involved in different IT projects of iEARN and Intel which promotes inquiry based learning .
	August 23, 2007: The new academic year started with vigor. This year after Nursery enrollment of 60 students in morning and evening shift, the total strength will be 430 students in 2007-2008 academic sessions. Click here to read more details.
	May 7, 2007: Registrations for New Admissions for the session of 2007-2008 has been started. Total 60 students will be admitted in Nursery classes for Morning and Evening shifts. According to Sanjan Nagar Trust criteria families will be assessed for deserving through house-to-house surveys.
	March 30, 2007: Sanjan Nagar Public Educatiohn Trust Girls High School is proud to announce that it has been registered as a Citizen Community Board Member, in City District Lahore. This would enable the school to access district development funds from the City District Government of Lahore and is indeed a very positive step.
	September 30, 2006: Education Committee members met with the parents of senior school students. They discussed miscellaneous education issues including the new admission and withdraw of students. Click here to see pictures

	September 15, 2006: Four students of class eleven got admissions for their Intermediate at Lahore Grammar College, one in pre-engineering and three in pre medical.

	August 28, 2006: Sanjan Nagar began the afternoon classes from this year (2006). Both boys and girls from the local community families were admitted.
	Art for Education was a mini fundraiser at the World Bank Office in Islamabad held from February 16 to 21st , 2007 opened formally by the outgoing country director John Wall and the incoming Country Director Mr.Yousafa . Mr. Mueen Afzal, Chairman and Board Members Mrs.Nusrat Jalal and Baela Raza Jamil were also present at the function. The exhibition was attended by local dignitaries including diplomats, developmental agencies, civil society organizations and bureaucrats. The exhibition featured Prints by M.F Hussain, Photogrpahs by Raza Kazim and Rashida Raza and original art works by children from Sanjan Nagar also prepared art and crafts which were very vibrant and creative such as Weavers, Potters and pottery designing village scene. Three students Amina Choudhry, Sidra Shoib and Jameela Shaeen from grade VIII and a mother Mrs. Naila also attended the opening session alongwith faculty member Ms. Misbah. The children also went to Daman-e-Koh to enjoy a nice dinner and the spectacular lights and views of the capital city.

Speaker Session Series

	October 31st, 2009: Brian Q Silver and Shubha Shankaran Sanjan Nagar girls were delighted to have the famous music maestros Brian Q Silver and Shubhna Shankaran amongst them. Mr. Brian is the chief of Urdu Staff of Voice of America since 1986. He Plays Sitar and has received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in the Department of South Asian Languages and Civilizations, where he focused on Urdu and Persian literature, history, culture, and music. Shubha Sankaran is among a handful of musicians currently performing the surbahar on the concert stage. A computer engineer by profession, she is the first woman who plays Surbahar (a musical instrument). They had a musical session with the students and were deeply impressed by the learning and music knowledge of the girls. Later they listened to the music lessons of the girls and shared some tips as well.
	May 8, 2008: Mrs. Zehra Majid Ali famous literary figure who is also the sister of Anwar Maqsood was invited as a guest speaker on May 9, 2008. She was accompanied by Mrs. Rashida Raza. She shared her childhood memories and took views of students of grade 7 and 8 about Urdu Literature. Then she visited the school and expressed her emotions through poetry Mehin aye, mein ney dekha Ilm, muhabbat aur ehtram ka eik mela
	November 1, 2007: Dr. Sajjid Maqbool who is a child specialist and Ms. Tasneem Maqbool a member of school's education committee visited the school. After having a school round they had a speaker's session with the students in which he talked about Nutrition and balanced diet. Students participated in the discussion and enjoyed his session a lot. They were delighted to see the response of the students. He will be visiting school on monthly bases to talk to the students on different health and hygiene issues.
	September 27, 2007: Famous compere, an intellectual and advocate Mr. Naeem Bokhari visited the Sanjan Nagar School as a guest speaker. He took a revealing session on the topic of "Eternal Happiness". He shared his precious views on happiness for others. Students enjoyed his conversation. 	March 16, 2007: Famous artist, an intellectual and famous advocate Mr. Naeem Bokhari and Arshad Mehmood who is renowned artist and composer, visited the school. They had a lectures session with the students in which they shared their ideas about freedom of thought and the importance of creativity. 	Senior school children and staff were honored to have Begum Shahnaz Wazir Ali,The Executive Director of Pakistan Center For Philanthropy (PCP) who visited Sanjan Nagar on April,8 for the Speaker's Session. An interactive and informative session was organized in which she discussed her experiences and achievements followed by a long question answer round. Click here to view pictures.
	Our Students and Staff were honored to receive Ms. Noor Zehra, who visited the school on 28th January and conducted a session with the girls on a unique instrument called the "sagar veena". She introduced and played many melodious musical pieces on the 'Sagar Veena' which was developed and modified after 36 years of efforts by her father Mr. Raza Kazim, the Patron of SNPET. 	Riffat Hai one of the very few women commercial pilots and a proud feminine activist visited Sanjan Nagar as a Guest Speaker. This charming and exceptional lady proved to be an inspiring role model for young girls as well as the faculty members alike who were thrilled and moved by her stories of commitment and determination. 	On Friday one of our respected trustees Dr. Mrs. Mussarat Hussain visited the school campus she shared her valuable information regarding painting and art and inspired children with her life experiences. Click here to view pictures.

Our Distinguished Visitors

	June 8th, 2010: Dr. Mubashir Hassan, former Finance Minister and Founder Member of Pakistan Peoples' Party visited Sanjan Nagar School. He was accompanied by his wife Dr. Zeenat Hassan, who is a renowned pathologist in Pakistan. Click here to read more details.
	May 20, 2010: Major Geoffrey Langlands, the renowned educationist visited Sanjan Nagar School. This visit was arranged by Chairman SNPET, Mueen Afzal Sahib, who is an old student of Major Langlands. Mr. Langlands, whose former pupils include Imran Khan, the Test cricketer turned politician, Mr. Farooq Leghari, Former President Pakistan and many more, has lived in Pakistan for the entire 55 years since independence in 1947. Major Langlands had a speaker session with the teachers and students and shared his teaching experiences. It was inspirational for the girls to see an old man so much active and enthusiastic about his work at the age of 92 years. They asked many questions from him about his attachment with Pakistan and specially the hilly tribal areas. Mr. Langlands appreciated the work being done at Sanjan Nagar and hoped to visit again. He expressed his feelings about the school in the following words: "It was indeed a delight to visit such a fine school set up in a working class area and doing such a wonderful task. Congratulations to all! "
	March 29th, 2010: Ms. Blakeman Allen visited Sanjan Nagar school. She is the project director of Pakistan Educational Leadership Institute at PSU, through this initiative dozens of Pakistani teachers have visited Plymouth State University, USA. 	March 27, 2010: A team from ASER India (Annual Survey of Education Report) visited Sanjan Nagar School . The team comprised of Ms. Sakshi Kapoor, Research Associate ASER India , Mr. Bharatdeep Singh Malhi and Mr. Satyam Vyas. They were on a visit to Pakistan to participate in ASER Pakistan 2008 Launch by ITA. 	March 19th, 2010: One of the Sanjan Nagar Trustee, Mr. Iqbal Riza visited the school after a long time. He was, as always, impressed to witness the progress that the school has made in recent past years. Riza Sahib visited the classes and admired the work of both teachers and students. At that occasion, he announced a donation of Rs. 50,000 for the school as well. This amount will be used as the scholarship for two secondary class students.
	February 19th, 2010: Ms. Beth along with some US Embassy personnel visited Sanjan Nagar. This visit was to figure out the areas where US Consulate can possibly help the school. The visitors were pleasantly surprised to witness the standard of free education provided to the underprivileged. They assured of their every possible help.
	December 9th, 2009: Mrs. Farzana Naqvi Visited Sanjan Nagar School with Ms. Noor Zehra (Daughter of Raza Kazim). Mrs. Naqvi is working with a school in UK. She visited each section of the school and praised the hardworking of students and teachers.
	November 24th, 2009: Ms Beth visited the Sanjan Nagar School. She saw different classes and departments of the Sanjan Nagar School. Mr. Beth is an English Language Trainer. She also had an introductory session with teachers and talked about their English language related issues with students.
	November 5th, 2009: Mrs. Rana from Agha Khan University Examination Board visited the Sanjan Nagar School. She was here to copy the teacher's comments regarding AKU examination system. She also visited different sections of the school and praised the hardworking of teachers and students.
	October 31st, 2009: New trustee Mr. Qaiser Zulfaqar Khan visited the school. He assured his corporation for the school the completion of school expansion programs. He was deeply impressed with the confidence and performance of the students and faculty.
	October 12th, 2009: Sanjan Nagar is trying to get affiliated with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. In this connection the Regional Manager of IB PYP Asia Pacific, Ms. Kathy Derrick visited the school. She observed the school methodologies and had detailed meetings with principal and teachers to get an insight into the school. She visited each class and observed classes while collecting evidences necessary to carry on school's affiliation with IBO. See more pictures...
	June 9, 2009: A volunteer Ms. Valerie Kaul along with our Trustee, Mrs. Tasneem Maqbool visited the Sanjan Nagar School. They visited different sections of the school and its facilities. Ms. Valerie Kaul was most impressed with the environment, the faculty and the students, She generously donated Rs. 40,000 to the school. Thank You!
	April 27, 2009: Karima Kara and Ms. Alia, Associate Director and Manager Curriculum & Exam Development of AKU Examination Board visited the Sanjan Nagar School. They had a round of the school and appreciated the learning environment provided to the students.
	31ST October, 2008: Gurmeet Singh Luallpuria Director of Lokvehaar visited the Sanjan Nagar School invited by Ms. Saadia. He visited with Ms. Naila and Ms. Saadia different school sections and classes and praised the hard work of students and teachers.
	24th October, 2008: SAMA TV organized and recorded Forum of SNPETHSS students by famous T.V. compare Mr. Faisal Qureshi. Students discussed and debated on miscellaneous educational and non-educational issues of their lives. They also shared their ideas with Faisal Qureshi on current affairs.
	18th-August-2008: Ms. Mian Ridge from UK visited the SNPETHSS. She observed different classes, students and teachers in different learning and teaching activities. She appreciated the hard work of students and teachers. She also had a brief question and answer session with students. This visit was her part of the research work about education system in Pakistan.
	April 28, 2008: Ms. Asma Ezdi and Samina Khan from Customer Relation Department, Mobilink Co. visited the Sanjan Nagar School. 	April 28, 2008: Ex. Professor of Islamia College, Professor Rashda Afzal and Dr. Mrs. Akhtar Malik visited the Sanjan Nagar School. They visited different school departments as well as classes. They praised the hardworking of the students and teachers. They took special interest in new admission with respect to children selection among the deprived community. 	March 19, 2008: A visitor Mr. Shafqat Bukhari visited the school. He has been helping Sanjan Nagar in constructing the new block for Sanjan Nagar College. He visited the different sections and praised the work of children and teachers.
	February 1, 2008: Mr Hussain Muzaffar visited the Sanjan Nagar school. He met with the teachers and talked to students about their learning experiences at the school. He especially talked to Saba Ali about her experiences who is back from her one year stay at Denver, USA.

	We were honored to have a very special guest Ms. Sangeeta Gundecha from Bhopal, India. Also famous as a poetess she showed her deep concern and love for children .She is working at the Bhopal University where her renowned family is known and respected for their contributions in the field of Art and Music especially Dhurpad. Open house day / Fun Fair Day / Annual Plays

	April 27th, 2010: Annual Open House Day held at Sanjan Nagar School . Teachers and students exhibited and presented different project work, they worked on during their regular teaching and learning. This year the theme of the Open House was "Teaching and Learning at Sanjan Nagar". Mrs. Baela Raza Jamil, Managing Trustee SNPET, came to witness and encourage the students and teacher's work. She went to all classes and observed the work of teachers and students. She asked questions to the students related to their project work which included models, dramatic performance and presentations based on their curriculum topics. 	March 3rd, 2010: Annual Play of the Sanjan Nagar School held at Ali Auditorium of Ali Institute of Education. This year a Punjabi play "Moongi Masoor" was produced and performed by Sanjan Nagar students under the direction of Ms. Huma Safdar. "Moongi Masoor" is the outcome of the Theatre Workshops held at Sanjan Nagar few months back by Ms. Huma Safdar. The Theatre and Drama Trainer, worked with Sanjan Nagar students on the themes of voice throw, improvisation, music and mind sets. Click here to read more details.
	April 25, 2009: Annual Open House Day of the school was held on 25th of April 2009. The chief guest for this year’s Open House was Dr. Bernadette Louise Dean, principal Kinnaird College. This year the whole school worked on the theme of Environment. This whole project was a subsidiary project of Peep into the Future Project initiated by head teacher Mrs. Faiza Shahrukh and Mr. Saimon Robin. Click here to see more pictures and details.
	November15, 2008: Annual Play 2008 was successfully held at the SNPETHSS. Ms. Madiha Gohar was invited as a chief guest along with SNPETHSS trustees. Click here to see more details and pictures.
	April 19, 2008: The Annual Open House day of the school held at the school campus. Teachers and students of all classes worked on different educational themes and presented the work to the visitors which included renowned educationists, board of trustees, donors and other members of the educational community who praised the hard work of Sanjan Nagar students and teachers. 	March 20, 2008: The students of class 6th and 8th are taking part in the Book Bound Project coordinated by Mr. Mian Manzar. In this project, a bag with few books is given to every participant. The objective of this project is to develop love and care for books. Every bag contains an Encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas and story books in English and Urdu, to kindle readers. 	inter disciplinary learning at its best! April 21, 2007: Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust Girls High School held its annual Open House on project and theme based inter-disciplinary learning methodologies. It was well attended by parents, families and educators on 21st April, 2007. Mian Imran Masood, the provincial Education Minister graced the occasion and appreciated creative and detailed work done by the students. The Principal Ms. Faiza Shahrukh and the faculty gave an overview of the program. He visited each classroom and praised the displays and stimulating learning environment. Mian Imran admired the subject integration approach in the projects. Each class focused on well researched specific topics such as: “Harrapa”, “Five Senses”, “How the Brain Works”, “Inclusive Education”, and much more. Click here to read and see more pictures.
	On 8th November, Annual Function/Open House was celebrated on school campus. Students of all classes performed in different teams. Miss Nadia Jameel was invited as the chief guest who appreciated the students talent and was overwhelmed by the confidence of the performance. 	Open House/Fun Fair held on Saturday 6th May 2006 at school campus. Junior Section presented their project on "Pakistan Culture" different cultural traits were displayed. Senior section students prepared and presented model of "Kala Bagh Dam". These projects were completed so skillfully that every visitor showed interest and applauded the efforts and hard work of students and staff. Mothers enthusiastically played an important role in display of different stalls i.e, Food stalls, garments, jewelry, handicrafts etc. Click here to view pictures.

Professional Development/Training

	June 20th, 2010: Ms Ayesha Fazal conducted a Five Days Workshop on Micro Teaching. All school teachers of morning and evening shifts participated in the workshop. Teachers worked on individuals assignments on making work-plans and implement it in a classroom.

	June 14th, 2010: Annual Teachers meeting held at the school and was presided by Ms. Faiza Shahrukh. The agenda was to discuss school result and calendar for the new session to be started from August 26, 2010. All class and subject teachers including school coordinators attended the meeting. Results of each class were discussed individually, highlighting the dropping and promoting students result.
	June 7th, 2010: A Six Day workshop by PEF held in the school on theme of "Learning with Joy". Around Twenty teachers from other schools and five teachers from Sanjan Nagar School participated in the workshop. The workshop facilitator taught many motivating ways to teach difficult subject topics in an interesting manner. The workshop lasted for six days. 	May 25th, 2010: Sanjan Nagar Teachers Mr. Saood ul Hassan, Ms Afshan, Ms Rabia and Ms. Farzana got appointed as AKU invigilators for AKU SSC and HSSC examinations 2010. They rendered their invigilation services at Lahore Grammer, Shah Jamal Branch.
	May 20th, 2010: Ms. Afshan and Mr. Amir attended a session on Iqbal and Current Pakistan held at ITA. Mr. Khurran Shafique, a research assistant at Iqbal Academy facilitated the useful session. He discussed various aspects of Allama Iqbal's Javed Nama in a comprehensive manner. A movie on Iqbal's message was also shown to the participants.
	May 20th, 2010: Five Sanjan Nagar primary teachers attended a workshop on "Teaching Oxford Books" organized by Oxford University Press. The workshop aimed at making teachers comfortable with the techniques of teaching oxford books to the children, in a more comprehensive way.
	April 30, 2010: Two Training workshops under the banner of "Seeds of Peace"held at Sanjan Nagar School . One session of this workshop was for teachers and the topic was 'Interpersonal Skills' . 	April 14th, 2010: An in-house teachers workshop held to address some general academic and IBO-PYP issues. The workshop was conducted by the principal Mrs.Faiza Shahrukh and co-assisted by PYP coordinator Ms. Naseem Rasheed.
	April 7th, 2010: Early Childhood Teacher Ms. Misbah Rani has won the Anital Ghulam Ali Teacher's Award 2009 (AGATA 2009). She received a cheque of Rs. 100,000 as the prize money. She was awarded with a medal and souvenir for scoring highest score in the Anita Ghulam Ali World Teacher Day competition, in which many teachers participated from all over Pakistan. 	February 13th, 2010: A special collaborative IBO-Planning meeting was conducted presided by Ms Faiza and Ms Naseem. This meeting was part of the IBO implementation program going on in the school since Ms Kathy visited the school. On initial basis, class II is selected as sample IBO-oriented class in which all IBO teaching and learning standards are applied with close monitoring of new assessment systems under the supervision of Ms Naseem and Ms Ayesha.
	January 28th, 2010: Ms Fareeha conducted a Hand writing workshop for senior school students. Students of class six to twelve attended this workshop. She highlighted the importance of hand-writing and gave innovative ideas for improving it. Respective class teachers were also there to attend this workshop.
	January 12th, 2010: Ms Rafia had a session with all science teachers. She helped science teachers in documenting their science practical work through latest lesson plan development skills. Dr. Rafia has been helping the school in assessment, evaluation of the teachers and interviewing the new inductees for Mathematics and Physics. She is also providing support in redesigning the physics lab manual. Dr. Rafia is working with both primary and higher secondary levels.
	December 16-18, 2009: A 3-Days Professional Development Training was conducted by Ms Ayesha Fazal on IBO Assessment Techniques. All subject and class teachers attended this workshop held in Resource Room of the school.
	December 11, 2009: Ms Beth Trudell conducted a workshop on English Grammar Skills here at the school. All subject and class teachers, of both shifts, attended this workshop. She introduced new effective techniques of teaching and learning English grammar and its application.
	December 8th, 2009: Ms. Beth conducted a one-day detailed workshop on Critical Thinking. All subject and class teachers attended the workshop. She shared new methods of introducing critical thinking skills in the students. She will conduct another workshop focusing on English Grammars skills in the next week.

	August 3rd, 2009: Ms. Ayesha Fazal conducted a six days IBO Introductory workshop. Mr. Ali, a former IB student, visited the school and shared his IB experiences during the session. Sanjan Nagar school is planning to get affiliation with IB under its Primary Year Program (PYP). 	September 11th, 2009: Sanjan Nagar teachers, Ms Saima Shaukat and Ms Naseem Rasheed conducted a short workshop on introduction and application of Intel Teach Program. The workshop conductor put light on the school's affiliation with IBO program and its application in Intel project. Each year all school teachers participate in the Intel Teach Program launched by Intel Corp. and Government of Punjab.

	June 20, 2009: Ms. Ayesha Fazal conducted a five days teacher workshop on English Learning and Teaching Skills. The workshop was organized by IPL (Institute of Professional Learning). 	July 22nd, 2009: Senior School Science teachers Mr. Fiaz, Mr. Babar, Ms Farzana and Ms Fareeha attended a two-days Teacher Training workshop on paper construction. The workshop was conducted by AKU at La-salle School System. This session was really fruitful specially for the new teachers to understand the AKU style of exam papers.
	April, 13th 2009: A six days workshop was conducted by Ms Saima Shoukat. Government school teachers from surroundings including two teachers from SNPET HSS participated in the workshop. Ms Nasira Gardezi, head of Intel Program for Lahore district also visited the workshop and had views of the participants during their practical session here at SNPET school.

	13th October, 2008: A five days workshop on 'Reclaiming Culture and Social Diversity' for the purpose of mobilizing youth for national harmony and peace held at Sanjan Nagar school. Chief secretary Punjab was invited as chief guest. 	June 28, 2008: English teacher at Junior level Mr. Saimon Robin was selected for Plymouth State Univerisity, USA visit. His departure was on June 28, 2008. Every year, US Department of Education, government of Pakistan arrange an educational visit of around 40 teachers from throughout Pakistan. Mr. Saimon has been selected from Sanjan Nagar. 	May 30, 2008: A workshop on 'Leadership & Professional Development' was held in SNPETGHSS on May 30, 2008 by Punjab Education Foundation for two days. Principals, Vice Principals & Coordinators from different schools participated in workshop. It was very prolific workshop to enhance the leadership qualities and school management skills.
	March 20, 2008: Ms Ferzana, Mr Fiaz and Ms Raheela participated in a one-day workshop for HSS practical examinations organized by AKU Examination Board.
	January 26, 2008: Mrs. Faiza Shahrukh visited Delhi, India to attend the Youth Convention. The participants were to explore the possibilities of the students exchange program with Indian counter part school Blue Bells International. The theme of the convention was "Learning to live together", on which 20 schools participated. Students were exposed to social activities and inspiring documentary on final solution. 	September 3, 2007: A session was conducted by Mrs. Beena and Mrs Faiza Shahrukh, the Principal of Sanjan Nagar School with Sanjan Nagar school teachers on the theme of “Enabling”. 	August 30, 2007: Intel Education Awards 2006-2007 ceremony took place at Pear Continental on 30th August 2007. Mr. Imran Masood presided and awarded the participants. Ms. Ferzana Kauser, Ms. Naseem Rasheed, Ms. Shaista Javaid , of Sanjan Nagar got Certificate of Grand Winner and a cash prize of Rs. 5000. Mr.Imram Masood praised the teachers and the head of schools in encouraging innovative use of computers technology and developing inquiry based learning in their institutions.
	August 28, 2007 Workshop was conducted by Ms. Faiza Shahrukh. 	May 8, 2007: Science Teacher Mrs Farzana Kauser and IT Teacher Zulfiqar Ali participated in a one-day AKU Workshop for Practical Examination at Lahore Grammar School. The workshop was organized by Agha Khan Examination board to Train Science teachers in conducting Practical Exams of Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Computer.
	January 10, 2007: Science Teacher Miss Farzana Kausar and IT Teacher Mr. Zulfiqar Ali attended a three days workshop on Material Development organized by Agha Khan University Examination Department. They worked and created Assessment Units for the coming AKU Exams.
	February 15, 2007 : A two days workshop on School Leadership Development sponsored by the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) was held at the Sanjan Nagar School’s Professional Development Centre. The workshop was organized and facilitated by Fouzia Saeed and Saeed ul Hassan from ITA. 	February 26, 2007: Interviews of the short listed teachers conducted in the school. Ten teachers were short listed for Intel 2006-2007 Intel Award. Ms. Bazgah was there to conduct interviews as an Intel Judge. The results of these interviews and assessments are expected soon.
	Ten teachers from Sanjan Nagar have been short listed for the Intel Teachers Awards 2006-2007. Their telephonic interviews will start in few days. Their names are Naseem Rasheed, Samreen, Jospehine, Asifa, Nasir Riaz, Saima Shaukat, Kathrine, Majida, Farzana Kausar and Shaista.
	A workshop was held on 23rd September, 2006 on the school campus held by Mrs Yasmin shahid and Mrs Ghazala Tariq. Modules conducted were classroom management and lesson planning. The duration of the workshop was for an hour and half. Click here to see pictures.

	Ms. Misbah Rani, teacher nursery class went to USA to attend Pakistani Teacher Training at Plymouth State University for five weeks.
	Ms. Asma Mani, daughter of Mr. Ehsan Mani, Trustee SNPET joined Sanjan Nagar for two months (from 20th February - 20th April 2006) as an intern on 20th February 2006. 	Ms. Faiza Ali, Science Teacher attended a two day workshop organized by AlifLaila on 10th & 11th March 2006 at Alif Laila's Auditorium, Lahore. March, 26th 2010: The Sanjan Nagar School Principal Ms. Faiza Shahrukh, who is a PSU Alumni, attended a Five Days workshop on Cross-Cultural Exploration and Examining

Educational Trends in India and Pakistan in New Delhi. The conference was organized by PSU-PELI. Ms. Blakeman Allen, Director PELI hosted this conference. Around 38 PSU Alumni were supposed to attend the workshop but unfortunately they could not get the visas on time, So only Faiza Shahrukh participated in this conference from Pakistan. February 13th, 2010: A special collaborative IBO-Planning meeting was conducted presided by Ms Faiza and Ms Naseem. She is having class observation with one-to-one feedback session with each class teacher discussing highlighting teaching skills on the spot.

Mrs. Yamina Razzaq attended Educational Seminar "Importance and role of private sector in the spread of quality education" under the aegis of Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman (Jang Group of News Papers) and Punjab Education Foundation on 13th May 2006 at PC, Lahore.

Ms. Yamina Razzaq attended meeting at PMIU, Lahore Some highlights of the issues discussed are as follows: · Registration of schools · Problems in processing of registrations of schools · Essentials for registrations of school · Reviewing the policy of registration for further amendments.

Ms. Afifa Ahmer, Sr. Section Coordinator/Maths Teacher attended workshop on the conduct of the 2006 examination session organized by Aga Khan Foundation at PC, Lahore on 17th April 2006. The primary objective was to discuss the upcoming practice examinations scheduled in May 2006.

Ms. Zubda Farooqi, Ms. Naseem, Ms. Misbah, Mr. Kamran & Mr. Saimon attended an International Conference on "Local Governance, Texts & Contexts: Perspectives" hosted by the Alliance for Education Development (AfED) a consortium of six civil society organizations held on February 1- 2, 2006 in Lahore. They learnt about many exciting practices on education from the region and the country.

Mrs. Neelam Ernest and Mr. Kamran Shaukat attended the Intel's easy to learn PC launching program at Al Hamra. In collaboration with the Bank of Punjab and Education Department, thanks to Intel aiming to spread the IT culture and improve quality education through providing an opportunity at the grass root level to own PC's on easy installments.

Mrs. Neelam Ernest attended Head Teachers Conference conducted by AKU as part of the Aga Khan Education Board activities during which presentations and update on the practice exams and the position of the board was shared and the affiliation certificates were presented.

Ms. Zubda will attend A.K.U English language workshop from 24th- 25th Nov 2005.

On Friday 30th September on the invitation of the British Council Lahore Mrs.Ernest, Ms .Zubda, Mr Kamran Shaukat and Ms. Farzana attended a workshop on global school partnership/working towards embedding global dimension within curriculum and reciprocal grant for teachers and students to visit partner schools in UK.

Senior school staff and students were honored to attend Dr Anne Marie Schimmel lecture on the Essential Ingredients of Education at the Bukhari Auditorium Govt. College University, Lahore. It was truly an inspiring lecture by Ms. Zoe Hersov, an eminent scholar in her own right. She spoke of pedagogy based on solid content, culture of education and finally character!. Educational Competition/Projects

	June 23rd, 2010: We proudly announce that Grade X student, Warda Shakoor has won the membership of Youth Parliamentarian. Membership for Youth Parliament of Pakistan from more than 100,000 inquiries and in response to that Youth Parliament sent membership forms to more than 50,000 eligible youth and she is one of the luckiest among them. We are very much hopeful that Warda Shakoor will prove herself and understand the importance of her role in community services and to nurture their leadership qualities as per Youth Parliament's vision.
	June 7th, 2010: Intel science workshop held at the school in collaboration of Intel Pakistan. The main idea of the workshop was to introduce a science project competition for SSC students. In the first half of this project, students will register their project idea with brief project information. The practical application dates for this project will be announced later.
	January 30th, 2010: Class nine student, Tuba Hafeez participated in the PEF Interschool competition and won the 2nd Division. Around 300 PEF adopted schools from Punjab participated in the competition. Science teacher, Ms Farzana accompanied her in the competition.
	April 4, 2009: A debate competition held by class seven and eight supervised and initiated by Ms. Naseem (Junior coordinator). The topic of the debate was "Basant - A curse or blessing". Click here to see more pictures.
	31st October, 2008: Painting Competition won by 7TH Grade students of SNPETHSS. The theme of the painting competition was 'Say No to Violence'. It was organized by Children's Peace Museum.
	June 10, 2008: A poster competition was organized in Islamabad at June 10, 2008. Two students Zeemal Pervaiz & Esha Khan from SNPETGHSS have won the 1st prize.
	June 4, 2008: A Workshop was conducted by ITA on USIP project at SNPETGHSS for two days. Students from Beacon house school, SNPETGHSS & Paisa Akhbar participated in it. Different activities were performed in workshop e.g. dialogue discussion, poster making, searching through internet and group presentation. View more pictures.
	March 1, 2008: Like every year, school participated in the Unilever Art Project. The theme for this year artwork was “Beauty and Difference”. All school students participated in this project; six students from senior sections were short listed and got certificates. The artwork was composed of drawings, models and a mural composed of many panels made by classes from nursery to ten.
	November 17, 2007: 23 Students participated in the World School Milk Day celebrations at race course ground. This day is celebrated all over the world for educating and making the children aware of the importance of safe packaged milk. In Pakistan it was organized by Tetra Pak and Packages Limited. Students participated in • Creative Painting • Theatrical Art • Fancy Dress • Stall Competition • Declamation Competition and won distinguished positions . Eid Milan Party

October 2nd, 2009: In a very festive mood children of all classes, wearing colorful dresses, celebrated Eid Milan Party. All Junior and Senior school students enjoyed the celebrations in a cheerful manner. They put Henna (Mehndi) and shared dishes with teachers and fellows. They also amused themselves through music. 8th October, 2008: Eid Milan Party was celebrated in the school. Students wore colourful dresses and enjoyed singing.
October 12, 2007: Keeping up with the traditions Students celebrated Eid Party on Thursday 12th October just one day before Eid holidays. Students wore colourful dresses and had fun. Presentations/Plays

May 20th, 2010: A Musical Program facilitated by Mr. Nadeem Salamat and his group members, held at the school. The program was organized by Ms Alia and her Music department. The recording team of A-TV was also there to do the coverage of this event. Students from class five, six and seven enjoyed and participated in the program.
April 23rd, 2010: A media team visited Sanjan Nagar School . The renowned anchor person, Mr. Faisal Qureshi recorded and hosted an A-One TV program with Sanjan Nagar School students. The recording of this program titled "Azm-e-Aleeshan" took place at school and class eight, nine and ten students took part in it. This recorded program is likely to be on air on Sunday, May 02 at 12:00 pm.
May 2, 2008: Knaoor Noodles organized an exciting show for all school students. They demonstrated a Musical Puppet Drama to highlight the importance of lunch. The students took keen interest in it. Free cups of boiled noodles were served for all the students. This activity was really fruitful for the people who usually miss their lunch and are indulge in such unhealthy habits. March 1, 2008: Mr. Mian Manzar had a workshop with senior school students. He brought and played informative and educational DVDs on a 34” Flat Screen TV. He also shoed an amazing device – Wii Sports, a virtual game simulator which works with TV and simulates a real 3D sports enjoyment. The students liked it very much. On February 23rd, he had a Question & Answer session with class five, six and seven students.
November 5, 2007: Ajoka Theater performed a Punjabi play PATA KAHN at Sanjan Nagar on 5th Nov, 2007. It was metaphorical play one the awareness of the prevailing state of affairs and how people react to these situations. September 12, 2007:Class Eight students demonstrated a comedy play on current affairs in the morning. They posed as the political leaders trying to convince the general public for their votes for coming elections. They mocked out them for being ignorant, greedy and selfish leaders. September 6, 2007: Defense Day was celebrated in the school at Morning School Assembly. Principal addressed the morning assembly in which she highlighted the importance of Defense Day and its celebrations. Students gave their views on the day. May 19, 2007: Mr. Manzar Latif Mian has always contributed and supported Sanjan Nagar programs. This time he personally gave his precious time to the students by giving an interesting presentation which was followed by a quiz session. 25th September, 2008: A Parents Teachers Meeting for Evening school held at the school campus. The meeting was presided by evening school coordinator Ms Misbah Rani. Miscellaneous educational issues of the students were discussed specially Irregularities and studies of the students.
May 10, 2008: A parent teachers meeting was held in Sanjan Nagar School on May 10, 2008 by school administration. Many educational and general issues were raised by parents which were responded and addressed by the principal and coordinators. Different committees were formed to solve multifarious problems. Health Program

January 15th, 2010: Well-known Child Specialist, Dr. Sajjid Maqbool visited Sanjan Nagar and had a session with all senior school students on the topic of “Prevention is better than Cure” . He was accompanied by his wife and Trustee SNPET Mrs. Tasneem Maqbool. He talked about symptoms and prevention of some common diseases found in children and infants in Pakistan. He will be visiting Sanjan Nagar on weekly basis from now onwards.
15th October, 2008: World Hand wash day was celebrated in the school. Students presented different plays/skits in the morning assembly to highlight the importance of hand washing and cleanliness. April 21, 2008: Dr. Tania Somro has joined Sanjan Nagar School as a volunteer for giving free medical services to all school students for six week. She is conducting separate sessions with junior and senior school students on cleanliness and hygiene on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She will continue to serve Sanjan Nagar till six weeks.

March 13, 2008: Class Eight students participated in a session on the World Kidney Day held at Children Hospital. Their science teacher Ms Farzana was also with them. The theme for this year for World Kidney day was the awareness of different kidney disease. Many school and medical college students as well as nurses attended this session.
November 30, 2006: With collaboration of Safeguard Health and Hygiene Day was celebrated in the school. School students organized a puppet show to teach the lesson of health safety. The Safeguard Health team was present to witness this. Miss Misbah and Miss Shomaila students presented a puppet show while Class Eight student Amina Choudhry did a speech on the said topic. September 5, 2006: A doctor’s team visited the school to give Hepatitis Vaccination to all school children. Blood test facility was also available with the medical team.

June, 23rd, 2010: Grade 9 students Ayesha and Kainat Nadeem have safely returned home after completing their one year school education from USA. Their stay was in USA from 7th August 2009 to 15th June 2010 for one year through iEARN in YES program. Click here to read more on this.

The group also visited historical monuments in India and mainly focused on finding the new ways of elaborated working and sharing. December 2nd, 2009: Grade ten student Ayesha Zaib, who is currently studying in Grenada Mississippi, USA, has made a remarkable achievement by scoring A+ grade sevent classes. She and Kainat Nadeem were selected under an iEARN-YES program to study for one year in one of the USA schools. They both are hosted by American families there. October, 20th, 2009: Its was a milestone achieved for the students and teachers of Blue Bells and Sanjan Nagar School when the principals of both the schools signed an MoU last year and entered into an agreement to share the learning teaching methodologies, cultures and similarities. Under this bilateral Student and Teachers exchange program a group of students and teachers will visit Blue Bells School New Delhi in this year. Similarly the students and teachers of Blubells will be invited to visit Sanjan Nagar. It will be rich and great learning experience for both the teachers and students.

August 5th, 2009: Grade ten students Kainat and Ayesha has safely reached USA to start their one year free education in one of the US School under iEARN-YES Program for 2009. They were among the group of 26 students selected from Punjab province. Kainat got her host family in Florida whereas Ayesha will live in Mississippi state.

February 16, 2009: Sidra Shoib had a visit to Governor Perdue of North Carolina during the governor's page week.

January 21st 2009: Grade Nine students Ayesha Zaib and Kainat Nadeem have been selected for iEARN-YES one year scholarship program for 2007-2008 session. They will get one year free education in a US school including traveling, accommodation.

April 7, 2008: The student of class nine, Sidra Shoaib has been nominated to visit USA under the iEARN-YES program for the year 2008-2009. Every year the school participates in the iEARN YES Program through which one or two school students go to USA to complete one year free education there. All expenses including education, boarding and travelling is funded by iEARN-YES and US department of education. Last year, Warda Shakoor of class nine went to USA under the same program. She is supposed to come back in June.

March 1, 2008: Class 9 student Amina Choudhry has been selected to participate in the Initiative for Peace Conference – Youth Perspective 2008 to be held in Pune, India on 18th to 25th June 2008. The conference is a joint venture between Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong and Mahindra United World College of Hong Kong. Nearly seventeen school students are going to participate from Pakistan.

August 8, 2007: Warda Shakoor was selected for 2007-2008 iEARN YES student. She went to USA and started her regular schooling at Menomonie, Wisconsin. She was hosted by a Lutheran family. She joined Menomonie High School on 4 of September as a 12 grade student. She was involved in all school activities. She said "It is different from my Sanjan Nagar School." She opted for Algebra 1, English 3D Art and Environmental Conservation (Agri science) as she finds them interesting. During her studies in USA, she won many positions in different curricular and co-curricular activities.

Saba Ali student of class eight went on scholarship to America through the iEARN-YES Program. She will complete her one year education in a US school for 2006-2007. She is in touch with the school and informs that she is enjoying the experience of being in America. Click here to see more pictures.

Recreational Field Trip

	Jun 1st, 2010: Class five, six and seven students visited the Raffi Peer Theatre at Raiwind Road. The students were accompanied by six school teachers. Students had a round of Puppet museum. Later on they saw a puppet show on the theme of social ethics.

	May 10, 2008: On Monday 10, 2008, students of grade 6, 7 and 8 visited Science Museum with their teachers. Students got lots of information by visiting Science Galleries on various topics through models, scientific instruments and pictures. 	November 10, 2007: Primary Classes Nursery to class 1 morning and afternoon shift went on a day's trip to Race Course Park with their teacher's and other staff members. They enjoyed the water fall, fish pond and had round of a race course area. Click here to read and see more pictures.
	March 31, 2007: Senior school students went on a day long educational trip to Harrapa. Around seventy-nine students visited the historical place along with their teachers. They seen different places and also visited museum. Click here to read more details and see pictures.
	March 27, 2007: Junior School students visited the Children Complex and Bagh-e-Jinnah as part of their regular educational field trip. Students from the Nursery and Prep, along with classes One through Five went to this trip. They visited the library, science museum and gallery. Later the students played games in the Bagh-e Jinnah located across the road.
	On 14th November, 2006 the whole school went on a recreational trip to Jalo Park. They enjoyed their visit very much. The school provided the children with free juice and packet of chips. The headmistress give the girls and staff a small token of thanks in the form of “The Jalo Train Ride” as the entire school worked hard and performed very well in the annual function. Basic Educational And Functional Literacy

July 17, 2008: SNPETHSS is proud to announce the successful completion of Spoken English and Basic Computer Application short courses held during summer vacations from June to July. Certificate ceremony was held in the college. Nineteen students out of 25 got certificates as well result cards for both courses. The principle, college coordinator and faculty .members were present. June 2, 2008: I.T. & Spoken English Courses were offered by SNPETGHSS for matric & F.A students from 2nd June to 17th July, 2008 under the supervision of Mr. Saood-ul-Hassan. The main purpose of these courses is to upgrade I.T. skills and English language proficiency in students. View more pictures.
May 4, 2007: Classes for local community commenced in the school. School IT department and the students of class 8th facilitated the local students. This class is a part of iEARN GYSD project in which class 8 is actively participating. Click here to read more details and see pictures.
SNPET launched "Basic Education & Functional Literacy Programme" commenced from 13th February 2006 for illiterate parents/community. At present 15 women and children are pioneer literacy students. They are now able to read Urdu book of class one and understand counting up to 100. They learnt simple addition and subtraction of ten digits in their daily life use.

Orientation

To strengthen the links, build rapport and to ensure commitment and credibility through a living and shared mission statement, the faculty held an open discussion /dialogue between old and the new faculty members and senior school children on Saturday 3rd September 2005. Volunteers and Interns

January 20th, 2010: Ms Rizwana Sadiq has joined Sanjan Nagar school as a volunteer teacher. She has just finished her FSc. And wants to join IPL for her graduation. She had her ten years free education from Sanjan Nagar school. She is thankful to Sanjan Nagar school for providing her free education. She wants to serve Sanjan Nagar by giving volunteer services. She will give her teaching services to class to six for six months.
June 6, 2009: Ms. Huma Safdar, a highly acclaimed theatre resource person conducted a workshop on theatre and drama with summer camp school students and teachers. She will be conducting similar workshops on Saturdays, helping towards the annual play.
March 25, 2009: Ms Sarwat, a teacher and expert of (Arts & Science subjects integration) visited SNPETSS school along with Mrs Raza. She also conducted a short workshop with subject teachers and shared views on integration of Arts and Science.
July 10, 2008: Beachonhouse School Student Internees had their last day of giving their (one month) services in mentoring class four and five students in English and mathematics. The principle praised their dedication and hardworking in teaching/assisting Sanjan Nagar school students in English and mathematic subject. She also distributed certificated of internship. June 10, 2008: Senior students from Beacon house school have joined SNPETGHSS as internees to teach grade 4 & 5 students from June 10 to July 10, 2008. The main objective of teaching/assisting the students to enhance their proficiency in English and to speed up their minds for mathematics.

February 28, 2008: A see-off party was given to Mrs. Zahra Hussain who had been giving her voluntarily services as an English teacher. She helped class IX and X students in English composition and grammar. She is going back to the United States. The Sanjan Nagar Girls High School family is sincerely thankful for her services.

January 25, 2007: Mrs. Zahra Hussain 25-Jan-2006: Mrs Zahra Hussain is a well known poet and a dedicated educationist. She excels in English Language Teaching and Literature. She holds a masters degree in English Literature from the Punjab University. Mrs. Hussain comes from a family of poets, artists and educationists. Annual Sports Day

February 21, 2009: 8th Annual Sports Day of SNPET school was organized here at the school campus. Mr. Raja Zafar Secretary for Chief Minister's Task force Punjab for Education was the chief guest along with SNPET board of trustees. Students of all classes took part in different events of sports. A large number of visitors, guests and parents were there to enjoy. At the end, the chief guest had a round of the whole school and expressed his views to Duniya TV channel team following by a refreshment with school teachers. February 15, 2008: The 7th Annual Sports Day of Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust Higher Secondary School was held at the school campus - Glaxo Town. Ms. Ansa Zafar, an educationist and social worker was the guest of honour at the occasion. March 30, 2007: The 6th Annual Sports Day of the Sanjan Nagar School was held at the School campus. Mr. Raza Kazim, founder of The Sanjan Nagar Inst. Of Philosophy and The Sanjan Nagar Education Trust was the chief guest of this event. Ch. Moeeen Afzal, chairman of the Sanjan Nagar Trust, Dr. Baela Jameel and other senior trustees of the Sanjan Nagar Trust were also present. SNPET Alumnis

February 18th, 2010: First SNPET Alumni Homecoming was held at the school. All old Sanjan Nagar students brighten up the evening with their presence. The Senior Teachers, support staff and the principal also joined the gathering.

Special Day Celebrations/Special Events

	June 25th, 2010: Class six, seven, eight, nine and ten students participated in the Amon Ki Asha Ceremony held at the Wahgah border in the morning. SNPET Trust chairperson, Ms Baela Raza Jamil, school principal and teachers were also present on this occasion. In the ceremony, a large number of schoolchildren exchanged "handkerchiefs chain" with their Indian counterparts. Besides, noted singers like Jawwad Ahmad, Najam Shiraz and his daughter, Haya, and Jassi Singh gave memorable performances. Click here to see more pictures of the event.
	June 24th, 1020: Summer-Camp clubs had a presentation day to demonstrate their club work. Summer-camp clubs which included Music Club, Literary Club and Art clubs were set with the students of class six, seven and eight. Special Calligraphy and Mathematics clubs were introduced this year.
	June 16th, 2010: A prayer Ceremony for the fast health recovery of Mr. Raza Kazim, patron Sanjan Nagar Trust School was organized in the school. All senior students including junior and senior school coordinators were there in this special prayer session. Get well soon sir!!!
	June 2nd, 2010: Class 9 students threw a farewell party to their seniors, students of class ten. The farewell party held in the afternoon and was well attended by all SSC and HSSC students, teachers and coordinators. The AKU SSC Exams result is expected to be announced in mid of July. Almost all the class ten students are willing to continue their HSS studies at Sanjan Nagar College. We wish them all the best for the result and look forward to welcome them in the college. 	May 20th, 2010: IT personnel of SNPET HSS, Ms. Saima Shauket and Mr. Zulfiqar Ali attended an inauguration ceremony of MS Office 2010 product launch at PC Hotel Lahore. Around 200 delegates from different corporate and NGO sector attended this auspicious event. Chief Minister Panjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif was the chief guest at the occasion. Microsoft Pakistan officials introduced MS Office 2010, MS Share Point 2010 and MS SQL Server 2008 R2. It was one of its kind and useful event indeed. 	May 10, 2010: Four students of Grade 9 participated in the SAMA TV program "Nai Rahain" recorded at SAAMA TV office. The program aimed at spreading awareness amongst masses to control water degradation.
	April 9, 2010: The school participated in this first mega social event conducted by the SOCIAL WORK CLUB of the LAHORE GRAMMAR SCHOOL (PARAGON CITY CAMPUS) in collaboration with LUMUN SRP. Non Profit Organizations from all over Lahore were invited on this occasion. The aim of this event was to promote the idea of organizing charity based and fundraising events. Standard- sized stall were allotted to each organization. The event was managed by a responsible event organizing committee and co-ordination team based on students of the campus with many facilities like, edibles, Multimedia projection and Media coverage of the event. Sanjan Nagar School had a stall of its different handicraft items made by students of different grades. School brochure and newsletters were also distributed among the NGO's and guests.
	March 10th, 2010: Evening school organized a Milaad in the school. The basic purpose of this milad was to pray for the solidarity of this school and country. Evening school parents contributed a lot towards the arrangements of this Millad at their own. Students and teachers recited verses of Holy Quran and Naats. Tabarraq was also distributed. The session was followed by a long heart breaking pray where participants prayed for the prevalence of peace and harmony in our beloved Pakistan. May Allah bless our country.
	March 7th 2010: Class six, seven and eight students participated in a Reader's Walk session organized by Alif Laila Book Bus and ITA at Main Market Gulberg. This walk was organized to spread awareness among the masses about education and its need. It also provided a platform to Sanjan Nagar Girls to work and learn in harmony with other organizations of National Level.
	February 26th, 2010: Science Teacher Ms Freeha Shahid and senior school coordinator Ms Fazana organized an Urdu and English Hand-writing competition in the school. Two groups consisting of seven senior school students participated in the competition. Two panels of judges were there to judge English and Urdu hand writing respectively. 	November 16th, 2009: Senior School English teacher, Ms Saira Shauket organized a mini debate session to celebrate the World Tolerance day. Students of class nine and ten made speeches to express the importance of tolerance in our society. They also shared their views through poems to commemorate this day.
	November 5th, 2009: Evening school organized an hour long dramatic and musical session to celebrate the Iqbal Day at Sanjan Nagar School. Students dramatize the lesson of Iqbal in interesting and informative plays and musical theatrical performances. School principal was there as chief guest of the event. 	November 3rd, 2009: Ms. Naseem and Ms. Fareeha organized a debate session on Terrorism and the current situation of the country. Students of class seven, eight, nine and ten made speeches on the topic and shared their views. It was a bilingual speech competition. Click here to see more pictures.
	July 6th 2009: Physical health and fitness of the students are among the major objectives of the Sanjan Nagar Trust. Every year, class six, seven and eight students participate in the Girl Guide Tour Camp organized by Punjab Girl Guide Association in Murree. Under the supervision of Ms. Misbah Rasheed and Ms. Fozia, ten students of the senior school went to Murree Hills to participate in Girl Guide Camp.
	June 3, 2009: Class 9th students gave a farewell party to class 10th. They had arranged interesting games and presentations for their fellow students. The entire faculty and the principal were present on the occasion. There was lot of singing and fun. The Principal addressed the students wishing them best of luck and reminded them of the great opportunities that lay ahead for them in their higher studies and experiences. 	April 4, 2009: Class XI arranged a farewell party for Class XII. The farewell ceremony was held at evening in the school campus. Students performed different comedy skits for their favorite teachers. The school principal distributed certificates and at the end refreshment was given to teachers and students. 	November 2008: Students of Sanjan Nagar celebrated the World Children Day and participated in iEARN forums. Click here to see more details.
	15th October, 2008: World Hand wash day was celebrated in the school. Students presented different plays/skits in the morning assembly to highlight the importance of hand washing and cleanliness. 	26th September, 2008: A 'Milaad' was held at the school in which classes from seven to ten participated. Students recited the verses from the Holy Quran and presented Naats. 	8th to 13th September 2008: Readathon Week was organized at SNPETHSS to enlighten the importance of extensive reading among students and teachers as well. 	June 20, 2008: The SNPETHSS gave the party in the honor of senior teachers, admin & supporting staff who have been serving in SNPETHSS for last five years or more than five years. The principal appreciated the senior school staff for their hard work & dedication. Click here to see more pictures.
	June 3, 2008: A Farewell party was given by grade 9 to grade 10 at SNPETGHSS on June 3, 2008. All school staff was invited in party. Party arrangement & refreshment were terrific. Gifts were also distributed among grade 10 students. View more pictures.
	June 4, 2008: A cordial ceremony was organized at SNPETGHSS to award certificates to the students involved in Book Bound Project. Book Bound is really an innovative initiative taken by Manzar Mian who has been mobilizing financial resources and primarily introducing such enabling ideas and activities since long in Sanjan Nagar and also in underprivileged public sector schools in collaboration with ITA. 	April 10, 2008: Fifteen Class eight students visited a seminar on the importance of water. The seminar was organized by Girl Guide Pakistan at the Girl Guide Camp, New Muslim Town, Lahore. Girls from different schools of Lahore attended this event which was addressed by different environmentalists.
	April 7, 2008: The students of class seven and eight combindly had a girl guide camp at the school campus. Under the supervision of Ms. Misbah and Ms. Zerish, the two classes worked in two groups and installed two camps with kitchen, bed room and a bathroom. 	February 7, 2008: Sanjan Nagar School students had their school election. They selected their Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl and Class Prefects. Mrs. Faiza awarded the badges and satchels to the selected nominees who had their oath in a Oath Taking ceremony right after it. Miss Nseem Rasheed took oath from them. 	Junior School had a fun day on showing outstanding performance in the Annual Play on December 1st.2007 for their entertainment. A big jumping castle, mini train and other fun filled activities were arranged within the school. Primary students thoroughly enjoyed with their teachers.
	October 5, 2007: Teachers Day was celebrated with ardour. Students prepared assembly presentation, prepared special cards and presented it to their favorite teachers. Some students also presented flowers to express their vehemence. Click here to view more pictures.
	July 8, 2007: Pakistan Girl Guides Association had its annual camping in Murree this summer 18 Sanjan Nagar Girls and three teachers participated in 8 day’s camp. The campsite site was at Ghoragali on the pine slopes. These Girl Guides spent there time in the camps learning basic life skills, acceptance for diversity and solution of different problems through activities. The rationale for this camp was to empower them by putting them into different situations where they effectively use their decision making skills and develop positive thinking. 	22nd February: Class two and six students participated in the “Yaom-e-Tafakkar” (Day of Thinking) Day celebrated at Girl Guide by Girl Guide Association. June 4th, 2010: School Annual Result for 2009-2010 was declared. A teacher parent meeting was also held at the same day. It was headed by the school principal Ms. Faiza Shahrukh and primary school coordinator Ms. Naseem Rasheed. The agenda of the meeting was students' studies, results and uniform disorders.
October 20, 2008: The Sanjan Nagar is proud to announce the names of three students who got distinction in annual Exams of AKU-EB for the academic year 2007-2008. Names of the Position Holders are as follow: " Nida Khalid of Grade 9 got position in subject of Computer Sciences. " Sidra Shoaib of Grade 9 got position in Physics & Computer Sciences. " Saba Ali of Grade 10 got position in subject of Urdu. These three students from SNPETHSS are invited to participate in award ceremony by AKU-EB which is to be held on 3rd November, 2008 in Karachi.
5th September 2008: High marks achievers of SNPETHSS in 2007-2008. All college students got more than 70 percent marks in the HSCC Annual AKU Examinations.
July 8, 2008: The Agha Khan Examination Board has declared the result for SCC 2007-2008 exams held in April fro SCC exams. 24 students appeared in it.
July 8, 2008: Result was announced Grade 9 & 10. The result is with 100% average. The exams were held in April by the Agha Khan Examination Board. It is our 2nd batch of students being qualified by the AKUEB. Result for HSCC is scheduled to be declared on 5th August 2008.
16-Jun-2008: Result was announced of Grade Nursery to Grade 8. Grade 1 and 3-B took lead with 74% average. Parents were called to discuss and receive results of their children. New classes will duly commence on 25th of August.
The Second Batch of Sanjan Nagar Passes with flying colours! Well Done Students, Teachers and Parents! July 5, 2007: AKU Examination Board declared their first 2006-2007 session result for Class IX & X. We are very proud to report that all our eight students have passed this examination with first division. Four students of this first batch of Sanjan Nagar got A and A+ Grades. The Sanjan Nagar board of Trustees are very happy and heartily congratulate them, their teachers and parents for their dedicated support in helping them achieve such a milestone. Result for the academic year September 2005 - June 2006 was declared on 15th June 2006. Overall result was excellent but some certain areas need improvement (copy of the minutes enclosed).
SNPET school 3rd term final exam will be held from 26th May - 5th June 2006 and result will be declared on 15th June 2006.
