25th, 2010: Class six, seven, eight,
nine and ten students participated in
the Amon Ki Asha Ceremony held at the
Wahgah border in the morning. SNPET
Trust chairperson, Ms Baela Raza Jamil,
school principal and teachers were
also present on this occasion.
In the ceremony, a large number of
schoolchildren exchanged
"handkerchiefs chain" with
their Indian counterparts. Besides,
noted singers like Jawwad Ahmad, Najam
Shiraz and his daughter, Haya, and
Jassi Singh gave memorable

24th, 1020: Summer-Camp clubs had a
presentation day to demonstrate their
club work. Summer-camp clubs which
included Music Club, Literary Club and
Art clubs were set with the students
of class six, seven and eight. Special
Calligraphy and Mathematics clubs were
introduced this year.

23rd, 2010: Grade 9 students Ayesha
and Kainat Nadeem have safely returned
home after completing their one year
school education from USA. Their stay
was in USA from 7th August 2009 to
15th June 2010 for one year through

23rd, 2010: We proudly announce that
Grade X student, Warda Shakoor has won
the membership of Youth Parliamentarian.
Membership for Youth Parliament of
Pakistan from more than 100,000
inquiries and in response to that
Youth Parliament sent membership forms
to more than 50,000 eligible youth and
she is one of the luckiest among them.
We are very much hopeful that Warda
Shakoor will prove herself and
understand the importance of her role
in community services and to nurture
their leadership qualities as per
Youth Parliament's vision.

20th, 2010: Ms Ayesha Fazal conducted
a Five Days Workshop on Micro
Teaching. All school teachers of
morning and evening shifts
participated in the workshop. Teachers
worked on individuals assignments on
making work-plans and implement it in
a classroom.

16th, 2010: A prayer Ceremony for the
fast health recovery of Mr. Raza Kazim,
patron Sanjan Nagar Trust School was
organized in the school. All senior
students including junior and senior
school coordinators were there in this
special prayer session. Get well soon
sir!!!

14th, 2010: Annual Teachers meeting
held at the school and was presided by
Ms. Faiza Shahrukh. The agenda was to
discuss school result and calendar for
the new session to be started from
August 26, 2010. All class and subject
teachers including school coordinators
attended the meeting. Results of each
class were discussed individually,
highlighting the dropping and
promoting students result.

8th, 2010: Dr. Mubashir Hassan, former
Finance Minister and Founder Member of
Pakistan Peoples' Party visited Sanjan
Nagar School. He was accompanied by
his wife Dr. Zeenat Hassan, who is a
renowned pathologist in Pakistan.

June
7th, 2010: Intel science workshop held
at the school in collaboration of
Intel Pakistan. The main idea of the
workshop was to introduce a science
project competition for SSC students.
In the first half of this project,
students will register their project
idea with brief project information.
The practical application dates for
this project will be announced later.

June
7th, 2010: A Six Day workshop by PEF
held in the school on theme of
"Learning with Joy". Around
Twenty teachers from other schools and
five teachers from Sanjan Nagar School
participated in the workshop. The
workshop facilitator taught many
motivating ways to teach difficult
subject topics in an interesting
manner. The workshop lasted for six
days. Certificates were distributed
among the participant teachers at the

4th, 2010: School Annual Result for
2009-2010 was declared. A teacher
parent meeting was also held at the
same day. It was headed by the school
principal Ms. Faiza Shahrukh and
primary school coordinator Ms. Naseem
Rasheed. The agenda of the meeting was
students' studies, results and uniform
disorders.

June
2nd, 2010: Class 9 students threw a
farewell party to their seniors,
students of class ten. The farewell
party held in the afternoon and was
well attended by all SSC and HSSC
students, teachers and coordinators.
The AKU SSC Exams result is expected
to be announced in mid of July. Almost
all the class ten students are willing
to continue their HSS studies at
Sanjan Nagar College. We wish them all
the best for the result and look
forward to welcome them in the

Jun
1st, 2010: Class five, six and seven
students visited the Raffi Peer
Theatre at Raiwind Road. The students
were accompanied by six school
teachers. Students had a round of
Puppet museum. Later on they saw a
puppet show on the theme of social
ethics.

20th, 2010: A Musical Program
facilitated by Mr. Nadeem Salamat and
his group members, held at the school.
The program was organized by Ms Alia
and her Music department. The
recording team of A-TV was also there
to do the coverage of this event.
Students from class five, six and
seven enjoyed and participated in the
program.

20th, 2010: Ms. Afshan and Mr. Amir
attended a session on Iqbal and
Current Pakistan held at ITA. Mr.
Khurran Shafique, a research assistant
at Iqbal Academy facilitated the
useful session. He discussed various
aspects of Allama Iqbal's Javed Nama
in a comprehensive manner. A movie on
Iqbal's message was also shown to the
participants.

25th, 2010: Sanjan Nagar Teachers Mr.
Saood ul Hassan, Ms Afshan, Ms Rabia
and Ms. Farzana got appointed as AKU
invigilators for AKU SSC and HSSC
examinations 2010. They rendered their
invigilation services at Lahore
Grammer, Shah Jamal Branch.

20th, 2010: Five Sanjan Nagar primary
teachers attended a workshop on
"Teaching Oxford Books"
organized by Oxford University Press.
The workshop aimed at making teachers
comfortable with the techniques of
teaching oxford books to the children,
in a more comprehensive way.

20th, 2010: IT personnel of SNPET HSS,
Ms. Saima Shauket and Mr. Zulfiqar Ali
attended an inauguration ceremony of
MS Office 2010 product launch at PC
Hotel Lahore. Around 200 delegates
from different corporate and NGO
sector attended this auspicious event.
Chief Minister Panjab Mian Shehbaz
Sharif was the chief guest at the
occasion. Microsoft Pakistan officials
introduced MS Office 2010, MS Share
Point 2010 and MS SQL Server 2008 R2.

20, 2010: Major Geoffrey Langlands,
the renowned educationist visited
Sanjan Nagar School. This visit was
arranged by Chairman SNPET, Mueen
Afzal Sahib, who is an old student of
Major Langlands.
Mr. Langlands, whose former pupils
include Imran Khan, the Test cricketer
turned politician, Mr. Farooq Leghari,
Former President Pakistan and many
more, has lived in Pakistan for the
entire 55 years since independence in
1947.
Major Langlands had a speaker
session with the teachers and students
and shared his teaching experiences.
It was inspirational for the girls to
see an old man so much active and
enthusiastic about his work at the age
of 92 years. They asked many questions
from him about his attachment with
Pakistan and specially the hilly
tribal areas. Mr. Langlands
appreciated the work being done at
Sanjan Nagar and hoped to visit again.
He expressed his feelings about the
school in the following words:
"It was indeed a delight to
visit such a fine school set up in a
working class area and doing such a
wonderful task. Congratulations to
all! "

10, 2010: Four students of Grade 9
participated in the SAMA TV program
"Nai Rahain" recorded at
SAAMA TV office. The program aimed at
spreading awareness amongst masses to
control water degradation.

started for nursery classes in the
morning and evening shifts. Total
