On Saturday, May 21st, 2005, a
delegation from the Indian High
Commission, Islamabad visited
Sanjan Nagar Girls High School
under the leader ship of Ms.
Mohini Menon. This was her second
visit and a very special one. The
EC members were also present to
welcome them. The school staff and
students organized a special
program for the honorable guests.
On behalf of the Ladies Club of
the Indian High Commission Ms.
Mohini Menon brought a message of
good will and friendship. She also
presented a generous donation of
Rs.50, 000 to the School which was
received by the Trustee of SNPET,
Mrs. Tasneem Maqbool. A message of
friendship and peace was conveyed
through a colorful puppet show
while decorative hand made cards
and pouches were presented as
gifts and souvenirs to the
visiting delegation. These were
prepared by the Art and Bead
Workgroups respectively.
The
esteemed guests showed a great
interest in handicrafts and
embroidery done by the stitching
and needlecraft club and the
beadwork group, as well as the
collection and presentation of the
literary and dramatic society.
Our
guests purchased a few items of
interest from the jewelry
needlecrafts and beadwork display
points and appreciated the
classical performance of the music
club as well.
