Teacher Training Programme ( SPELT- SNPET)

Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET) and it’s Higher Secondary School (IB-PYP authorized), organized a workshop on 4th Nov, 2016 facilitated by a competent trainer from Australia as a part of SPELT annual conferences. The SPELT -SNPET collaboration gets stronger each year with on-campus workshops.  Dr. Christine Ludwig (Facilitator) along with Zakia Sarwar (Honorary Executive Director SPELT) engaged with participants/teachers about Systematic Functional Linguistics (SFL) as a powerful tool for analyzing and interpreting teachers and students work samples and to expand their knowledge of the language structures and features of texts in English. Workshop attended by the participants from Adbistan-e- Soophia Trust, Idara-e- Taleem-o- Aagahi (ITA) Ali Institute for Education (AIE) and Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust Higher Secondary School teachers.    

Main Objectives of the workshop were:

1.  Participants learned grammar in a meaningful and exciting manner through the SFL model of language teaching

2.  Analyzed student and teacher language and identified areas for improvement and needs for identify further learning 

3.  Identified phases of the learning cycle and exemplified how it can be used for making decisions about teaching and learning.

 

All participants were awarded with certificates and they all enjoyed the workshop.
