Zulfiqar Ali

Zulfiqar holds a firm believes that the true education of our young generation with innovative ideas assures us a bright future of our country.

Zulfiqar Ali is the head of computer department faculty. He is also the incharge of all information and recording keeping affairs. He joined this school in 2003 as an IT Incharge. He also takes computer sciences classes of higher school. His job description also includes running and maintaining school website as well as School Information System, a purpose made software by him to store and manage all kinds of students into the computer system.

Mr. Zulfiqar has done Masters in computer sciences in 2000 with specializing in programming. Previously he worked as a junior and senior VB programmer in a private software house. Here at Sanjan Nagar he attended many local and national workshop on teaching and learning skills. These workshops were conducting by many renowned educational research institutions ranging from Lahore board, British Council and Agha Khan Examination Board etc.

In 2005, Zulfiqar was selected for WEC (World Education Corps) Placement in Nigeria through iEAN-WEC Exchange program. He was one of ten WEC volunteer who was selected from ten different countries to be deployed in ten under developed countries. He worked on the iEARN and WEC projects in Nigeria for one year. At the completion of his assignment in July 2006, we went to Oxford, UK to attended a six days feedback session to share his feedback of completion and achievement in Nigeria.

In 2008 and 2009, most of his students of class nine and ten took distinguished achievements in Agha Khan Examinations.

August 25th, 2010: Sanjan Nagar School is proud to announce, that two of its SSC students Sidra Tabassum and Sidra Shoaib, of grade 10, have scored A-1 grades in Computer Sciences and Physics respectively, in AKU Final Examinations held in May 2010. In 2007 and 2008 many of our SSC and HSSC students were ranked amongst top position holders all over Pakistan .

September 6th, 2010: Six SSC and HSSC students had a four-days exchange visit to India from 31st August to 4th September 2010. The group was headed by the school principal Ms. Faiza Shahrukh, project coordinator Ms. Saima Shaukat and IT Teacher Mr. Zulfiqar Ali. The contingent, hosted by the Millennium School Noida, India, participated in different workshop, discussion forums on Indo-Pakistan Peace through Education and visited different places in India. May 20th, 2010: IT personnel of SNPET HSS, Ms. Saima Shauket and Mr. Zulfiqar Ali attended an inauguration ceremony of MS Office 2010 product launch at PC Hotel Lahore. Around 200 delegates from different corporate and NGO sector attended this auspicious event. Chief Minister Panjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif was the chief guest at the occasion. Microsoft Pakistan officials introduced MS Office 2010, MS Share Point 2010 and MS SQL Server 2008 R2. It was one of its kind and useful event indeed. sd December 4th, 2010: Sanjan Nagar school students attended a program "Children Right to Participate" along with Ms Naseem Rasheed and Mr. Zulfiqar Ali. This dramatic program was aimed to create the awareness about the children right to participate in the different araes of our society through different dramatic and singing activities. The program was held at the Cultural Complex Qadafi. Students and representatives of around five government and private schools participated the event.

        

 

sd July, 2009: Bravo! This year too our students made remarkable results in the AKU annual examination by scoring A+ Grade. In SSC and HSCC many of our students topped in the whole region in different computer, arts and other humanitarian subjects. Please visit AKU Examination board website for more details.

October 20, 2008: The Sanjan Nagar is proud to announce the names of three students who got distinction in annual Exams of AKU-EB for the academic year 2007-2008. Names of the Position Holders are as follow:

" Nida Khalid of Grade 9 got position in subject of Computer Sciences. " Sidra Shoaib of Grade 9 got position in Physics & Computer Sciences. " Saba Ali of Grade 10 got position in subject of Urdu.

These three students from SNPETHSS are invited to participate in award ceremony by AKU-EB which is to be held on 3rd November, 2008 in Karachi.

7th October, 2008: IT Teacher Mr. Zulfiqar Ali and English Teacher Mr. Saimon attended a forum on World Teachers Day. The seminar presided by Ms. Baela Jamil. Chief secretary Punjab was invited as chief guest. The main focused areas of the seminar were: " Importance of the teacher in the society " Teacher's Trainings " Teacher's Institution for learning teaching " Platform for the Teachers.

 

 
May 8, 2007: Science Teacher Mrs Farzana Kauser and IT Teacher Zulfiqar Ali participated in a one-day AKU Workshop for Practical Examination at Lahore Grammar School. The workshop was organized by Agha Khan Examination board to Train Science teachers in conducting Practical Exams of Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Computer.

June 2, 2008: I.T. & Spoken English Courses were offered by SNPETGHSS for Matric & F.A students from 2nd June to 17th July, 2008 under the supervision of Mr. Saood-ul-Hassan. The main purpose of these courses is to upgrade I.T. skills and English language proficiency in students. View more pictures.

April, 2005: One of our IT faculty members Mr. Zulfiqar Ali has been selected for WEC (World Education Corps) Placement in Nigeria. He will work on the iEARN and WEC projects in Nigeria for one year. He will leave in August 2005 for ten days orientation at Oxford University after which he will proceed to Nigeria in order to complete his assignment.

The World Education Corps (WEC) is a nonprofit service organization designed to bring enhanced educational opportunities to developing countries and to underserved schools and communities, worldwide. It will recruit volunteers, typically recent college graduates, in a spirit of service similar to the Peace Corps. Unlike the Peace Corps, however, the WEC will draw its volunteers from all over the world. Volunteers will be assigned to a wide variety of projects, including enrichment of school programs, literacy initiatives, economic development, public health, agriculture, and environmental protection.

July 2006: IT Teacher Zulfiqar Ali spent one year (11months) in Nigeria giving computer training to Nigerian teachers. He was selected as a WEC volunteer to teach basic-computer skills.
