My
Experience of the project
“Design for Change”
It
was a great privilege for me to be
a part of this project. Our
students felt a problem that many
students do not wash their hands
after using toilet so they become
ill. Then they imagined possible
solutions and during action week
they made posters and soap cases
with the help of junk material.
They collected 3 rupees from the
class to buy 2 soaps.
First
they planned to bring change in
the classroom and then in the
school. The students were divided
in groups to share their work with
posters and the the soap cases
they made.
The
next important work was to share
and implement the plan in other
schools. Students enjoyed learning
and sharing their work. They
really felt like decision makers,
planners, mangers and leaders. The
students of other schools also got
some exposure of activities that
are directly related to their
education and personality
building.
