December 23rd, 2010: Ms. Saima Shauket
(Project Coordinator) at SNEPET was
reward wit h
"In- Service Grand Winner
Award" on December 23, 2010 in
Intel Education Awards ceremony in PC
Lahore. The provincial Secretary Schools
Education, Mr. Aslam Kumbho presented
the prizes to the winners. The principal
Sanjan Nagar School, Ms Faiza Shahrukh
also honored the winner by attending the
ceremony with some teachers. The
ceremony was organized by The Intel
Pakistan Corporation (IPC) in
collaboration with the Intel Education
Initiative, Ministry of Education, and
Ministry of IT, Punjab to recognize the
impressive performance of outstanding
schools and teachers in the province of
Punjab.

December 6th, 2010: Book Bound Project
re-started in Sanjan Nagar. This year
the project activities are bit different
as compared to earlier. The project
activities will take place in the
resource room of the school where
custom-made furniture and resource
material included books, novels,
encyclopedia, DVDs and a 30" TV. Mr
Mian Manzer a school well-wisher and
donor is solely supporting this project.
He also donated a 32" LCD monitor
to the school computer lab.

December 2nd, 2010: Intel Teach to the
Future work of the Ms Zarish Mobeen has
been
short listed for Intel Teach
Project. She worked on Cleanliness
project last month. Intel officers
visited the Sanjan Nagar school to
conduct her interview and feedback
regarding her project and class
children.

December 2nd, 2010: SNPET School alumni
Saba Ali has got admission in the Fatima
Jinnah Medical College. She successfully
passed the test examination for this
admission held last month. she finished
her matriculation from the SNPET school
in 2008.

November 29th, 2010: Sanjan Nagar Trust
organized a grand "Black Tie
Charity Art
Auction - Indus Inspiration
II" as annual fundraising event for
the trust. Around 62 master pieces of
twenty seven famous artists were arrayed
in the auction exhibition including some
historic piece of paintings of legendry
M.F Hussain. The auction, which E.
Rising conducted with the excitement of
an English Premier League football
match, was part of an initiative to
raise funds for setting up more schools
by the Sanjan Nagar Public Education
Trust (SNPET) across the country.

November 26th, 2010: Class 9, 10 and 11
students participated in the Intel
Science Fair at
Children Complex. Syeda
Anum Zahra of Class Nine won the Best
Category Project Award in the contest.
Her group worked on a Chemistry project.
The competition was organized by
Government of Punjab and sponsored by
Intel Education Program. Many students
of other school participated in this
competition by working on different
science project exhibited through models
and presentations.

November 9th, 2010: Three Sanjan Nagar
students (Farah Shoib of C-9, Momil
Rizwar of C-9 and Asma of Class 8) won
presentation prizes of Iqbal Day
Competition held at Awani-e-Iqbal as
part of the Iqbal Day celebrations.

October, 4th, 2010: Mrs Praminda
Sobharwal wife of Indian High commissioner
in Islamabad gave a
generous donation of Rs50,000. She pledged for this in her
last visit that she would pay last week.
She has been also assisting the school
principal and school IBO coordinator in
application process of IBO Form B
submission.

25th, 2010: Sanjan Nagar takes pride
in sharing that it has successfully
completed its IB PYP Registration
Phase A. The school applied for IB-PYP
(Primary Year Program) in August 2009.
The school id now at the Candidate
Stage of PYP program as it has
received official approval from IBO of

The school is now preparing for
authorization phase which will take
next six months to complete.

August 25th, 2010: Sanjan Nagar
School is proud to announce, that two
of its SSC students Sidra Tabassum and
Sidra Shoaib, students of grade 10,
have scored A-1 grades in Computer
Sciences and Physics respectively, in
AKU Final Examinations held in May
2010. In 2007 and 2008 many of our SSC
and HSSC students were ranked amongst
top position holders all over Pakistan
.

August
2nd, 2010: School children and
teachers of Sanjan Nagar have started
a campaign for victims of
deadliest
flood that is flowing in many parts of
Pakistan. This campaign is to collect
funds, relief goods and medicines for
the victims. This flood has claimed
around 1400 lives and made thousands
homeless. Students of Sanjan Nagar are
donating household items and edibles
as well as cash money for these
sufferers. These goods and donations
will be handed over to the platform of
Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi , as it is
already carrying out the relief
operation in the hit areas.In the same spirit, the Sanjan
Nagar Trust employees have decided to
contribute their one-day salary for
the flood relief fund. Sanjan Nagar
also appeals the general public to
lend hand in this noble cause at this

23rd, 2010: We proudly announce that
Grade X student, Warda Shakoor has won
the membership of Youth Parliamentarian.
Membership for Youth Parliament of
Pakistan from more than 100,000
inquiries and in response to that
Youth Parliament sent membership forms
to more than 50,000 eligible youth and
she is one of the luckiest among them.
We are very much hopeful that Warda
Shakoor will prove herself and
understand the importance of her role
in community services and to nurture
their leadership qualities as per
Youth Parliament's vision.

7th, 2010: Early Childhood Teacher Ms.
Misbah Rani has won the Anital Ghulam
Ali
Teacher's Award 2009 (AGATA 2009). She
received a cheque of Rs. 100,000 as
the prize money. She was awarded with
a medal and souvenir for scoring
highest score in the Anita Ghulam Ali
World Teacher Day competition, in
which many teachers participated from
all over Pakistan. The award ceremony
held at Agha Khan University campus

March
19th, 2010: One of the Sanjan Nagar
Trustee, Mr. Iqbal Riza visited the
school after
a long time. Riza Sahib visited
the classes and admired the work of
both teachers and students. At that
occasion, he announced a donation of
Rs. 50,000 for the school as well.
This amount will be used as the
scholarship for two secondary class
students.

30th, 2010: Class nine student, Tuba
Hafeez participated in the PEF
Interschool competition and won the
2nd Division. Around 300 PEF adopted
schools from Punjab participated in
the competition. Science teacher, Ms
Farzana accompanied her in the
competition.

Ms. Naila and Ms. Madiha won the annual Intel Teach to the Future Program award for 2008-2009. The award winning ceremony held at PC Hotel Lahore. Ms. Naila won first prize of an HP 3 in1 Printer cum Scanner while Ms Madiha won a 3rd prize of a web-cam. Principal Ms Faiza also received best principal award. Each year Sanjan Nagar school teachers participate in Intel projects.
